Any hope for a place to eat Friday?

So what is my chance of finding a place to eat Friday if I don’t have a reservation? Am I going to have to wait three hours at outback?

I could but we just found out that we got a babysitter. We couldn’t get one until today so my original plan was to cook dinner here. Now that going out is an option, I have no reservations.

Stay home: wine or champagne or Prosecco, three or four different cheeses, prosciutto, strawberries, melon. warm baguette....something chocolate for dessert. (Costco has nice little molten chocolate cakes in ceramic dishes right now.,,pop em in the microwave. Serve w whipped cream or vanilla gelato.) A decent playlist, no phones, send the kids to grandma or pay the teenage neighbors double to watch ‘em.
Cherry on top: a gift certificate for a deep housecleaning. Find me one damn woman on earth who isn’t gonna be crazy thrilled by that.

Better start calling around. Then again 24 hrs before when most places call to see if you’re still on. Some may cancel and you might get lucky.

You could always go somewhere in the 5:00-6:00 hour. Even better if you like sitting at the bar.
Then if you do post dinner cocktails, you’ll beat those crowds too and still be home in time to pass out early.
