We’re in Cumberland, but we’ll be all over.

I would definitely check out Fox Bros
You aren't far.
Also for a nice dinner it's hard to beat Canoe

Heirloom Market and Fox Bros are both great

Fox Bros is served at the Terrapin Taproom located in The Battery (outside the new Braves stadium in Cumberland). A lot of people like Heirloom Market on Akers Mill but I’m not a fan. Dave Poes in Marietta and Smokebelly in Buckhead are both decent. But there really isn’t anywhere I’ve found with excellent BBQ.

I agree about Canoe. It’s a great place. C & S Oyster Bar is good also but probably nothing special if you are coming from Louisiana.

Along with Fox Bros. and Heirloom I would add Sweet Auburn, Community Q, and the new-comer City Barbecue.

All I know is Fox Bros, from them being at Hogs, but their stuff was really good.

I really Sweet Auburn in the Highland neighborhood.

Didn’t get to hit up any of the places I wanted to, but we did stop in at twin smokers in downtown Atlanta. Awesome ribs there. Mac and cheese was awesome too. A little pricey, but worth it.
We stopped in at dreamland on the way home, but I was not impressed at all. The ribs had hardly any meat and wasn’t a fan of the sauce. No balance of sweet with tangy.

That Heirloom BBQ has really good brisket and it’s cheap in comparison to the places I’ve eaten at over in Texas. It’s not a sit down place. You either take it and go or they have some community type tables that you stand at and eat. I’ve actually met some pretty cool strangers standing out there eating and have become good friends with them moving forward oddly enough.

Last time I was in town, I went to B's Cracklin BBQ, and it was awesome. Really good ribs and pulled pork.

His original place is here in Savannah. I think he has been in Atlanta less than a year.
