oh please
the recent amount of suicides by doorknob and from people who were very vocal or active in organizations against pedos is a little suspect

That's the third way of doing crawfish. You cook in plain, and soak in seasoning.
Used in large batch two pot boils. Better than the Texas method but not as good as creole/cajun method.

His death looks like a message.
Are you fricking people serious with this?

I'm telling you, his death was faked and he's now living on an island with Andy Kaufman.

I watched it and was underwhelmed. A bunch of drunken frat boys. Bourdain did not seem too into it either. That seems not to be his style. Too bad that the culture and history got washed away with cheap beer. Definitely eerie when he received his ashes and said he got “right with God”.

Did he film an episode whenever he went to the Popeyes buffet in Lafayette?

It was a major embarrassment for Louisiana. I know and people on this board know that that was not representative of the whole State, but I bet the rest of the country saw it and will assume that’s Louisiana in a nutshell.

I didn’t care for it either. Lots of bud light and people screaming “Mardi Gras” ... also that scene with the cross dressing guy in the grandma mask. I think we should just leave it at that

Am I wrong? Did that episode make us look good?
Posted on 6/18/18 at 8:37 pm to AbitaFan08
I’m from that neck of the woods.... so I don’t see it as an “embarrassment”. I think they definitely could’ve gotten better footage.. There was way too much video of baws stand on horses with bud light yelling “eyyyy de mardi grasss”.

I thought it was funny and only 12 minutes of the show.
They did a pretty good job of distinguishing that area of Louisiana from the rest of the state/country/world.

Just watched the episode. Observations:
1.) Bourdain, when he was not a few beers in, seemed like he was not really there. He wasn't engaged at all. It's the first time I ever saw him act like an "outsider".
2.) Between Duck Dynasty, Swamp People, and this episode, the whole country must think Louisiana is populated solely by drunken idiots (it's probably only about half). I really wonder what this board (along with OT and PT) if the "creoles" acted like the "cajuns" in this episode and vice versa.
3.) Not one of the best episodes of either Parts Unknown or No Reservations. Not really cohesive.
4.) Bourdain looked ill, tired, and thin. He did not look good at all.
5.) As previous posters have said, I've always wanted to attend a "Courir de Mardi Gras". I don't think I want to do that anymore. Guess I'm just too old, but that did NOT look like fun to me.
6.) That dude that fell off the truck near the end of the "run".

Has no one watched the season 11 episode where they did the boucherie That cancels out the drunken baws in this episode. That whole episode made me proud to be a cajun.
