Or try to get a Bourbon County variant. Last year vanilla was $33 a bomber where I was. That is nuts.

Unfortunately I have had to do this as well.

Most recently with Stone's Farking Wheaton W00TSTOUT and late last year with Bayou Teche's LA-31 Bière Noël.

Right down the drain after 2-3 sips.

$12.99 for a 4 pack seems fair to me. Maybe you should be bitching at Pelican House about price.

Tell me, do you know the ins and outs of the hop contract Parish has? Do you know about their current capacity and how much of that capacity can be used for ghost, and how much of the rest is used for their flagship beers and other one offs?

for comparative purposes, G&G i think is $9.99 for a 22oz. I can get a Lagunitas Hop Stoopid, which is an outstanding DIPA for the less price of $4.99 for 22oz. While it's still under $10 that's a $5 difference.

Agreed. I bought 3 or 4 of G&G, and i think the beer is fantastic. But i won't be buying anymore as long as they are that expensive. I can get a 6 pack of Commotion for less than that price and be happy. And yeah, Lagunitas' Hop Stoopid is a great DIPA that is priced very low, and i'll be buying more of that strictly on that point.

It's the same reason i don't buy more Praire beers. Yes they are great beers, but its not worth the price point.

I bought one Pirate Noir... but I almost consider that an investment in future favors because the place holds beer (like GITM) for me all the time.

Good God that's ridiculous. Does anyone know what other places in BR are charging for a pint?

I purchased a Prairie Funky Gold Mosaic because i liked Funky Gold Amarillo so much. Sadly, it will be the only bottle i purchase because $12.99 for roughly 16 oz. of beer is ridiculous. They need to look into getting a different distributor that doesn't price themselves out of the market.

Ditto for me.

Had that beer last night. I'd hold on to it. It didn't impress me.

Noted.

Will find a spot for it in the cellar.
