Need some help picking a spot for wife and I's anniversary dinner. Been out of the loop for a little while, so not sure if there are any new recs in town. Our options so far...
Café Vermilionville (never been)
Charlie G's (our favorite spot, but go there frequently)
Ruth Chris
Mazen Grill
Café Bella
Any input on these or any new restaurants we may be unaware of is appreciated.

I'm a Mazen fan.
ETA: agree with the Pamplona suggestions as well.
easy top 2 for me

it's a pretty unique spot because of the location, and the food was very good. It's been years since I've gone though...

Both great, but I think ambiance gives vermilionville a slight advantage

love the atmosphere but the food didn't match up when I went. Need to give it another chance. It was for a christmas party.

Good list...We love Mazen Grill and have never been to Cafe VMVille. They're all good but I choose Mazen.

You can’t go wrong with Cafe V. If y’all have never been, you must go. Get the Turtle soup.

Any must eats at Mazen?

All good choices and good recommendations.
I say go to someplace new, and enjoy the experience of that. It’s always tempting to go to the tried-and-true standbys when you have a rare opportunity to get out without the kids, but life is about experiences.
Cafe Vermilionville gets my vote on this one. And it’s been around for a very long time.

And it shows. Unless they made some changes the place is dilapidated.
