Who has the best andouille in NOLA? I've made the trek up to LaPlace in the past but don't want to have to drive that far.

Not looking for supermarket sausage.

TIA

in a pinch my goto is Veron's (but I have plenty of Wayne Jacobs in the freezer)

I have been meaning to try this place out in Kenner.

I'm assuming Chris' Specialty Meat will have something good.

Does the place you linked have a store or just online orders?

Cochon Butcher

I bought some from Butcher some years ago and thought it was not good. It had an off taste. I remember someone else here agreed with me when I posted this previously.

I lumped it in there because I knew you could buy Andouille there and it wasn't a grocery store. Can't say if it's good, great, or otherwise.

I have bought from Commissary before and thought it was really good.

The Commissary has great in-house Andouille.

I've bought a few items from there before. I will say this----they are real proud of their products, as in $$$$$.

You could always duck into a Rouses and grab some Best Stop. It’s not quite what it used to be but it’s light years better than anything you can buy out of a case if not most of the stuff you can find at local places. It’s still made in Scott. Just remember to take off the casing.

Jeanfreau’s in Chalmette used to make their own that was really good - but not sure if they have it anymore
