Anbody hear about Tom Fitzmorris' train trip he's about to take?

Heading to L.A., then back to New Orleans on a 7,500 mile trip, or so.
Should be some good eats along the way. He'll also be finishing a book, during the 2 week trip, he's been working on.
Can't wait to hear from Tom when he's back.

I had no idea Tom loved riding the rails. Said he and his wife were on similar trips back in '72 before they had met. She doesn't really like trains as much as he does, which made for some pretty interesting discussion.
Also, yesterday's food word of the day was 'peel'.

Yeah, Tom's love for trains is a little irrational. I remember years ago he would take weekend trips to Chicago on the train and talked about how awesome the train was the whole show !! Lol
