this may have just made that eventually much sooner.

Why? I feel like I would wait and let the new chef come in and get settled.

100% this guy has his own issues but...

I had a close friend who worked for her and his stories of her were... not exactly gracious. She doesn't treat her employees well at all and woe be on them if they don't do exactly as she says.

But that is why they call it a job I guess.

He kept saying he was going to expose her and spill the tea, but never really said anything

Show up late, on your phone, dont listen to the boss ... these are things that get one fired in most professions

Why is a random chef's twitter breakdown newsworthy? THAT'S the question at hand.

Same reason we can't turn away from a trainwreck.

Dude is mental and should be on meds. He told me he was suicidal many times. I feel for people dealing with mental issues in this hard arss industry.

From the sounds of it, no way this guy was the exec chef. My guess is he was an app or sauté at best, maybe a sous but he definitely was not the head guy.

It’s like she had a friend write an article for her to create some spin, save face.

I guess I am wrong then. I just figured with the tirade and how often he switched jobs that no way he was leading the kitchen.

I know the restaurant industry is very transient, especially for chefs and good bartenders, but 6 jobs in 6 years may have been a red flag in hiring him.

100% agreed. The places he worked previously do not even have the recognition of a place like Upperline. Maybe she was desperate to hire someone and maybe desperate for a reason.

Had no idea who this guy was, but when he got the Upperline job his shite kept popping up on my twitter feed. Thought it bizarre for a guy like this to be tweeting so much, and odd stuff at that. I now see that he is looney as hell. Hope J. Clev. finds a good one this time around. Upperline is on my list of spots I have not been to yet.
