Justin seems already overextended. Mansur's, FMB, Beausoliel...

The developer at Highland Park Marketplace is actively looking for another restaurant to fill the space.
Ideally, they want a local Louisiana owned company - as all other retailers and/or restaurants are going to be - speaking about the new developments that are being built. So ... if you know of anyone?
Smoothie King and Zoe's are the exception on the other end and maybe that wax bar?

We went for dinner last night. We sent one appetizer back because it just wasn't any good. I knew ahead of time not to order it, but my wife wanted it - their fries (forget the name they call it). Some fries were crispy. Some were limp. All were soaked in grease. To their credit, they removed the item from our bill.
Rest of the food was good. I ordered the pork chop and wife had the stuffed shrimp.
Service was spotty at best. It took over 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us as we were seated and our waitress didn't check on us in a timely manner after receiving our appetizer.
I noticed that many of their servers were huddled around near the kitchen entrance. Not a good look. If you're not busy, act busy. Find something to do.

Just ate dinner there today with a few friends. Got spinach and artichoke dip and calamari for appetizers. Dip was watery as hell and the pita wasn't even slightly toasted. Calamari was very salty. For entree I got a short rib poboy. Flavor was good but the bread wasn't toasted and all of it was cold. Mashed potatoes it came with had a strange flavor like a barnyard smell. Service was great, food was shite.

The legs tasted fine, but the body was horrible as if it was spoiled.
Exact same experience here... it was lunch and I already had eaten a cup of gumbo - so i just ate the legs and chalked it up as a bad experience. The crab was cold when it arrived, too. Ordered sauteed spinach as a side, but the description should be “sauteed garlic & spinach” as there was as much garlic as spinach in the cup.
Ive sat at the bar here for a beer and apps... and everything was fine. My one experience at lunch was not good.
My wife, on the otherhand, went with a friend and they seemed to enjoy their meal. She had a soup/sand combo w a bisque and shrimp poboy - said the shrimp were fine.
Hope they get better... quickly. Its close to my hacienda and we need some better restaurants over here. Albeit, apparently Im in a minority - because I really enjoy Ruffino’s. For those of you that havent attended one of their cooking classes, try it. Fun date night for couples....
