Does anyone know if it's legal for liquor/grocery stores to fill growlers in Louisiana? I would think someone could make a ton of money doing this.
Parish sells growlers, I got one in the fridge right now. I've heard the Cove sells growlers, I never picked one up however.
A buddy who works at Cuban Liquors told me they had thought about selling growlers when they recently added the homebrewing supplies, but they realized they would need one employee dedicated to filling the things and dropped the idea.
I predict by this time next year Whole Foods will be selling growlers out of the B.R. store. I think they do that in a bunch of locations and they have the employees to dedicate someone to pouring beer all day long.

So you can stop at a grocery but you can't stop at bar to get growler filled.
No, I was just asking if it was legal.
Like timbo pointed out there are a bunch of Whole Foods locations that sell growlers. I know a guy who works at one of the Whole Foods in the Philly area he gets some amazing beers on tap (Pliny, Double Jack, Hop Slam).
It would be nice to be able to go to a local grocery store and get a beer that may be draft only distribution.
