Meh. Unless you are eating and Red Lobster and other low end places, I doubt you see much of that.
1, 4, and 6 are only problems I have ever seen.

All of these items are pretty much common sense, IMO.

Writer of that article sounds like a complete tool.
"Complaining about your meal after you’ve eaten all of it.
What exactly is the point of complaining after you’ve eaten something? The server can’t return the item or get you something else, and not charging you for it would be a bit too generous considering you ate the whole damn thing. So basically you just look like a jerk who's trying to make someone feel bad, which you are."
How about just offering criticism that can help the restaurant. Perhaps I don't want something else. If you don't want to know "how was everything" then don't freakin ask.

Ask for separate checks at the same table.

Never working in a restaurant is it a pain the arse for the chef to cook a off the menu item?

Yeah. That's why restaurants have menus.
How complicated is what you want? How different is it from something on the menu? How does the restaurant charge you for the request?
But really it's all about giving into the guests. The real annoyance comes in when you keep coming back asking for that same off the menu item. Then someone you're with wants something off the menu, etc...

Bitch better split the check

I agree with most of that list except the separating checks. It's not that big of a deal for the server to separate them.

Requesting water and separate checks isn't that outlandish. Isn't that what the server is there for in the first place?

Not a big deal, but when you have 6 bitchy women who want 6 sperate checks during lunch rush, it has to be a pain in the arse for the server. These women are going to tip 11% on average, so I am sure it just ends up being a pain in the arse.

Yeah... but some people try to get a free meal this way.

Wow.
They ask because they're trying to make sure everything came out the way it was supposed to. Steak cooked to the right temp, any specifications met, to see if there's something else they can get for you.
No restaurant is going to tweek how they make a menu item because of your criticism.

Sounds like the problem isn't splitting the checks but the low IQs of the six bitchy women IMO.

If the server is on his game then he should have entered all the orders in the computer under separate seat numbers. Then all you have to do is print out each seat separately. That's how I was trained when I waited tables and most restaurants will have computers that do this.
Not to mention I'm tipping him on based on his service. If I have to do the math then he gets less of a tip because I'm getting less of a service.

figured this would have sparked the ole debate.

Agree.
Everything else on the list makes sense, but people flat out don't carry cash anymore, and most anyone I know in the service industry has told me it's NO big deal to do separate checks. Sure, it takes some thinking to remember what each person had, but it's part of the job (that is decently paid).
Mentioned in the comments of the article, I also hate the new thing where servers don't bring you the coin-change. Yes, I was probably going to leave the coins anyway but that is beyond presumptuous.

We went to Mellow tonight and IDK what was going on with the waitress because my friend had a couple beers and she brought him his ticket. He left a $20 bill in the black folder thing and she came back to the table saying he gave her a $20 bill by mistake. He's like "uhh, you're supposed to bring change"
Might have just been a slip on her part but I was like goodness, are you that not used to giving people change?

I call bullsh*t on this one:
You can either remember an order or you can't. If you're remotely fuzzy on this you should write it down, avoiding the potential for a mangled order.

3. Talk to your server while he/she is putting an order into the computer.
At most restaurants, servers don’t jot down your order on a pad anymore and that time between the table and the computer is sacred, memory wise. So don’t interrupt their thought process because you...desperately need another fork? Just wait, or you could end up with a mangled order, or at the very least, some dirty looks from your server.
