FANDAMNTASTIC!!! Hope you can get a pic of a slice once it's cut. You and the boy did a mighty fine job and HO did a great job walking you through! I think yours looks better than the one we've seen sold by bakeries. Go get 'em and report back!

If nothing else, yours will be unique and cool!

I'm tired, exhausted, worn down to a mere skeleton of a man. I feel like I witnessed the flirting of an idea, the conception, the caregiving, the midwife and coach assisting (h o), the optimistic cheerleader (g g), the birth of a lil boudin baby pig cake, the proud daddy, and the older brother experiencing your eeka.

Sorry, neither of those look as though the kids did anything but observe during the creation. Be proud of your cake, as it looks like food, not sculpture.

Well, I think yours was terrific and that gill may look cute sans the burned burgers and hot dogs, but a mouthful of thick black fondant is not enticing flavor wise. Even the logs don't look tasty. I'm not a fan of a bunch of fondant on cakes, though. I guarantee yours was the tastiest and you and the boy had fun doing it, so you win anyway!

ETA: And, I bet Paw Paw was pretty pleased that you used his honey! ETA! I meant Paw Paw's syrup.
