Good. frick those commie pricks a Buffalo Trace. This is just karma for their numerous past transgressions. Namely the discontinuation of Old Charter 10 and the removal of the handle from their handles of Charter. Is OC a north LA thing? I never see south LA people drink it.

Spot On, Everyone I know that drinks OC is from North LA

Did I enjoy finding a bar in Denver that served the 15-year for $12/glass? You bet...

What bar?

Root Down in the Highland area...not sure they knew what they were doing with it, but the 15-yr was $12, the 20-yr was $20 and the 23-yr was $35.

That's crazy cheap. Social in Lafayette sells 23 yr old for $90/shot.

Yeah, love the cocktails at that place, but the Pappy gouging is out of control...

Even the Sazerac Bar at the Roosevelt (which sells Crown for $14) had PVW 23 for $79

This screams inside job to the heavens, and a production line from the cases to the doors and vehicles.

You expect reasonable drink prices at one of the nicest hotel bars in the city? Paid like $32 for a glass of wlw

When did you even see Pappy there? I was there several times in August and there was no Pappy.

Hell yeah. I drank OC growing up like it was going outta style.

I hear that Stagg Jr is similar to oc10, which is the #1 reason I wanna try it.

whiskey is still there, its just in single barrel form sold as Eagle Rare now. They made more money and had more demand for Eagle Rare, hence the discontinuing of OC10

It's not strange to see people asking (and getting) $1,000 per bottle.

Why don't they just charge market value for it and use the proceeds to increase capacity?

It certainly doesn't come at the same value that OC 10 did.

I am sure most distilleries have increased capacity. But you won't see the results on Pappy for 12+ years

Increasing capacity is great, but it will still be 15-20 years before they can reap the rewards of their labor. Who knows what the market value will be then? The bourbon fad may have come and gone by then...

Buffalo Trace only has 3 bourbon mash bills. Wheated, High rye, and low rye. Brand depends on position and time in warehouse. The bourbon that used to be going in OC10 bottles is still there, its just shifting to more profitable brands. Like someone mentioned, Stagg is similar as well

WL Weller is a wheated mashbill, so its a preview of future Pappys

Ancient age is a younger Blantons
