Hey, it's your house. Is the 60" window divided into thirds or quarters? If so, it might help your sense of symmetry to align the faucet with one of the window's section dividers. This would lend some visual alignment as opposed to a random placement in front of the window. 1/3 of the way from the window's left side (facing) is the magically pleasing sweet spot. Even better if the window is divided into thirds and you can align the faucet w/the section.

I have no problem with an offset faucet. I turn mine sideways all the time so it doesn't look centered under the window half the time.

I now have your first faucet style after having your 2nd in the past. Ill never go back to the 2nd now.
. Both faucets are touch/touchless and pull out cords w/ sprayers so functionally the same. More so aesthetics than anything. 2 of the 1st faucet would be too much going on visually IMO.

Its more than aesthetics. I like the spring mounted one (your first) much more than the retractable one in actual use. I've come to hate the retractable kind now that I have spring one. Given I've only had the spring one for about 9 months. But when cleaning a bunch of pots and pans or bigger items, I don't like the retractable kind as it gets pulled back in. And filling a larger pot is more of a pain with the retractable kind.

The spring kind has been around for years but more in commercial practices. Aesthetically the retractable is probably better for long term looks. But there's a reason why every single commercial dishwasher uses the spring faucet and not a single one uses the retractable kind. They are easier.

If you are cleaning a large item with a retractable faucet, you have to pull it down to get the full length of the sprayer, then go up. With the spring type you simply use it and it stays there. The spring type is also a lot (A LOT) taller. So its a lot easier to fill large things like pots, pitchers, etc.

I think the spring kind are hard to keep shiny/clean. If you like your kitchen meticulously clean, you will hate the spiral wire dealie. The retractable kind doesn't require a crazy level of wiping to get crap out from under the spring wrap.

Also, placement is more important than fixture. Once the hole is drilled, you're stuck with it. If you hate the fixture, you can always change it.

Certainly. But literally every single commercial kitchen has the spiral kind. So I think the idea that they aren't "clean" is simply wrong. I agree from a purely looks and aesthetic standpoint though that retractable is probably better especially long term. I personally don't care as I like the spring type function more than I care about the looks.

I agree generally about the hole. But its not a do or die situation either. They make stainless caps, you can add an undermount soap dispenser, you can add a button for your garbage disposal, etc. to fill the hole. But certainly getting it right would be preferred.

The one I posted has the spring but it's just there for looks as it's really the retractable kind. I don't like the spring for functionality as much b/c you are limited as to how far you can move it

In that case I'd go fully retractable. But my current spring faucet I have probably twice the movement and range as my old retractable one.

What brand and model?

The ones I posted are the Moen Align 5923 and the Delta Trinsic.

Both are hands free/touch free

Both are retractable.

The one w/ coils (Moen) is just coiled for looks

I'm concerned a center mounted faucet won't reach the small bowl.

Why can’t you measure it? Do they not have specs on the faucet? How would we know if it will reach?

Pretty sure both my sink and faucet are Kraus. Very happy with them but they are not in your ballpark. They are under a year old so time will tell also.

I did do a quick look up and I think my faucet is 21 inches tall, most of the retractable are 15 and change. So that's 6 inches taller. Maybe something to keep in mind as far as looks/ view. If your wife is shorter she may not be able to see past it out the window for example.

That's one of the reasons I like the spring type as the height. For instance I can fill up my 10 gallon water jug for my daughters practice on my counter. With my older retractable style I had to put it on the floor or use the hose. The retractable may have longer hoses now I'm not sure but I've used various brands.

In your price point though i'd go to some nicer kitchen stores and for sure test out your options.
