Best exotic pizza

Winner: Fleur de Lis Pizza

quote:

Fleur de Lis takes top honors again (29.0%) in the renamed “exotic” pizza slot. The menu is simple—the toppings themselves not unusual—but in the world of pizza, square is outside the box.

I don't think i can agree with this. Square means exotic? At minimum it is a bad category title, but it is far from my favorite pizza place in town.

Yeah even if it was just best pizza, the same places would be at the top. Don't think anyone likes dominos or pizza hut better that FDL.

The 5 Guys thing is pretty sad. Disappointing that Mason's wasn't even in the running.

You either don't notice who advertises in 225 with regularity, or never eat out, then

And Bay Leaf got fricking robbed.

It's amazing that the taste in food and restaurants is the complete opposite only 70 miles east of Baton Rouge in the New Orleans area...

I'm okay with FDL being up there. I enjoy that pizza. Oscar's and Red Zeppelin need some love, though. Oscar's is probably my favorite pizza (proximity is a factor here, though).

I don't get too caught up in local businsses not getting tons of business from locals. People eat what they want and are familiar with around here. I'd rather people supported local places, and I'll continue to do so for the most part. But with 225 magazine, national chains shouldn't be an option

TBH, Isabella's is underrated. I do like it.

this is a HUGE joke .. how is mason's burgers not on this list ?? george's is a given because smokey is a city councilman and advertises heavily with mccollister .. dearman's hasn't been worth a shite in years .. there is a FAR better burger around the corner from dearman's, imo at portobello's ..

That was hands-down the funniest and most blatantly set-up category.

Off topic, but how the hell did the Perkins Rowe theater win 1st. To me, that is the last place I would go to watch a movie. It just seems like 225 wants Perkins Rowe to succeed, when all signs point to a failure.

Love this place. Brunch is very good there. Not going to argue with Chimes or Mason's, though.
