This was my plan B. I almost included them in my OP. I really like having multiple temp zones on a grill and am worried about losing that ability when I change. It’s the main reason I feel like I need the larger size Kamado’s.

I have a large bge. It's been great, but I think I would get the Joe. My brother has the regular Joe and I helped my dad put together his big Joe 3. The big joe 3 is HUGE in comparison to the regular size bge or kj. Very very sturdy and well built, but make sure you've got lots of help to put it together. Super heavy.

OP, I’d also look into this KJ pellet smoker coming out soon. I may very well be my next pit. LINK

I have a KJ big joe 3 since last fathers day and its great. Comes with a ton of accessories and the air hinge makes opening and closing very easy. Probably will never buy another charcoal grill again.

The joetisserie is my favorite accessory (not included).

What has been your experience with Monolith? Looks like it comes with a ton of accessories and the temp control electronics look interesting. How does fan work to control cooking temps? There are not a ton of reviews on this grill yet, so I am wondering if this grill is legit. Have been researching KJ, Primo Oval XL 400, etc...

TIA for any info you can share.

Looks like someone bumped this so I will update. Ended up going with the Big Joe II from Atlanta Grill Company. They were running a very strong sale and I got the grill and stand for $1499.00 including delivery and taxes.

I received it last Tuesday and have been very happy with it. Cooked a Boston Butt, a Tri-Tip, home ground burgers, brisket, chicken, and a pork loin so far.

I've got the Primo Oval XL 400, I like it because I can have one side direct heat and one side indirect.

As far as performance, Primo, BGE, and Kamado Joe all perform about the same. IMO

That Slow n Sear Kamado is interesting. If I was ever buying a Kamado, I'd probably get that.
