#6 Jewel of the South (New Orleans)
The modern reimagining of a classic 19th-century New Orleans tavern, Jewel of the South is everything you want from the Big Easy under one roof. Cocktails shift with the seasons but are always bold and boozy. There are also plenty of immovable classics to enjoy, like a French 75 or Sazerac dialed up to a compelling degree of excellence. Plus, you'll find the most expansive caviar menu in town.

I've only been to The Violet Hour on that list, but it was legit.

I’ve only been to Cafe La Trova, Julep, and Katana Kitten. Will be going to double chicken please next month.

No Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, no care.

Back in the day, Crepe’s Corner in Cottonport, La was the “Shizzle”…

Been to 6-7 of these. They're good bars with top notch drink programs. The Coop at DC Please is the best of any of them. You probably can't get in but the front bar is really good as well. Better people watching too

Not as good as the old Daiquiri hut in Marksville though

Went to Young Blood in San Diego a few months ago and it was the best cocktail bar experience I have ever had. Really enjoyed it.

Honestly, slightly surprised The Violet Hour made this list. One of the OG cocktail bars in Chicago, sure, but it has long been passed up by quite a few others in this city. Probably a decade late inclusion.
Glad to see Kumiko made it, though, from the city. Fantastic program they have going on right now.
ETA: Glossed over After, too. Really cool experience. Didn't get any small bites, but cocktails are great. You sort of lose sense of reality in there because its such a unique set-up and lighting. Wish it was slightly more intimate - there's a lot of space in there.

Haven't been to Julep, but other three are great. Hard to beat the music at Cafe La Trova. Know we briefly talked about DCP in another thread - try getting there 45 ahead of open for The Coop. I'll be doing the same in a few weeks.
