Wife and I probably dine in Nola 2-3 times a year. Have a dinner in a couple weeks in the city. Narrowed our options to...

Saffron
Avo
Osteria Lupo
Patois

Haven't been to Osteria Lupo. Last dinner was at Avo, but it was fantastic...worthy of a second trip in the same year.

Of those, I'd pick Saffron. But I like Indian.

Patois

But mainly because I don't enjoy Indian food and Patois was closed last week when I wanted to go.

Osteria Lupo
Only because it’s the only one I haven’t been to. The other 3 are all solid.

For pasta I liked San Lorenzo better than Osteria Lupo.

I'd go to Saffron from that list. That said, I'd add Brigsten's to your list and go there instead.

I love Avos.

Lasagna the way it should be made. the charred octopus app is delicious too.

when I lived in NOLA it was a goo too for special occasions

I haven’t been to Nola in several years, used to love Mr B’s. Is it still good?

It is. I think nostalgia and experience help keep it on the list, but I would only go if the company or vendor is paying.
