Great minds think alike... lol. I also wonder how much sand/dirt will be in those concrete bathrooms at the camp site.

When this is all done, I may drag the boat down there from Baton Rouge just to see.

I hear the hunting at the Wax is out of this world but that the conditions are challenging, particularly when those marine fogs set in.

Yep. It is especially bad when the weather is on the warmer side and the dew point and temp intersect. There have been times I couldn't see 10 feet in front of the boat. The first time I navigated by GPS only (using former tracks and stopping by the intracoastal to listen for tugs) but then I realized how stupid that was. You couldn't see the birds anyway. Since then, I've driven from BR to Calumet twice only to turn around because of fog.

These are from yesterday(23rd). River was at about 9.5'.

This one wasn't from yesterday, but it took my mom about a week to send it to me.

Thanks for adding those photos.

Has there been any backwater flooding from Lake Palourde?

Walls are about 20' tall. At the moment the water is only about a foot or two deep at the base. If the crest prediction stays at 11' there should only be another foot or so of water.

Don't think so. Probably would have heard from someone if there was. I don't think enough water has come through to make it around that way.

No, the Lake and the water in Stephensville has actually been falling

Doesnt make sense but there is not much of a threat at this time....but I guess that could all change once enough water gets down there.
