apparently a catastrophic loss of life and property and a resultant multi-billion dollar class action liabilty can't deter stupidity.
the government should not have to shut down river traffic right now, people shouldn't be so retarded.
what is the difference between operating a barge in high winds with water this high and getting behind the wheel while loaded?
seems the same type of punishment would be in order

I think he is talking about the southern scrap barges and shite that broke loose.

Another government conspiracy to get rid of African Americans- they got loose in north BR- odd just what happened in the flooding of the 9th ward

A barge broke loose and rammed into the wall of the Industrial Canal near the lower 9th ward during Katrina.

They're sending divers down to check on the bridge.

Seems like I'm remembering something being said now. Did it end up causing any harm?
Athanatos, I saw your response also, thank you.

Did anybody find out if they were empties or loads? Who owned them?

Hell of alot of difference. driving drunk is illegal. Operating a barge on the river when the river is open for traffic is not illegal.
