What are you doing besides watching and waiting to prepare for POSSIBLE flooding?

I wonder how much the railroad would act as a barrier? If it doesn't, I'd change the title to businesses and residents from HIGHLAND rd to river rd.

I live in Southgate Towers on the 4th floor. We have a few boats in the garage if we need to get out.

The ceilings in these units are 10 feet. There is another foot or two of concrete between the floor and ceiling of each unit. If we're 20 feet above sea level at the ground, My apartment is at least at 50 feet.

I would HOPE it helped some. Not an expert at all. Anyone out there with some with an EDUCATED
opinion?

That would be devastating, but you are right based on my UNEDUCATED guess.

There are drainage gaps in the railroad so eventually it wouldn't matter once the water hit those gaps (one by the golf course_

If the levee failed, the railroad would look like a log at the bottom of a river bed.

There is a reason Highland Road is named Highland Road.
