Zero RB method

Have any of you done this before? I’ve got 9th pick in 10 team league, 1pt ppr. I’ve always loaded up on RB early but I’m debating loading up on WR and get RB later. We also play 3 WR and a flex. Play 2 RB. Thoughts?

Having such strategy without seeing how the draft is actually going is just not smart.
Unless you can predict every pick the others are going to make

There is so much depth at WR this yr that u better get RB early or u will be out of luck with good ones, not as much depth

Zero RB is more geared toward 12+ team leagues imo
What you should do is grab two with your first four picks. Then wait, don’t touch those ones in the middle rounds.
I’d go zero RB only once these guys are off the board
CMC
Cool
Kamara
Taylor
Barkley
Henry
Zeke
Chubb
Ekeler
Gibson
Aaron Jones

Draft for value and go with the flow

The best advice I can give is to not draft a RB after round 4 until the rest of your starters are set
After the top 48 are off the board, it’s almost a waste to blow a 5th, 6th, or 7th on a RB with the amount of WR depth
* this is for 1 QB leagues

Yep
If you chase the trend and go RB because you think you have to, you’re limiting yourself at having a positional advantage
Team 9 gets a top 9 RB and a top 3 WR
Team 12 gets RB 12 and WR 1
The drop off from 9 to 12 is huge IMO

To add to what's been said, I'm known to go zero RB strategy or modified/hybrid zero RB from time to time, but I wouldn't recommend it in a 10 team league by any means.
In that league size, every team is going to be stacked. You don't want to be behind the 8 ball waiting out RBs to emerge by forcing a strategy.
It's different in a larger league, especially the more WR and Flex starter spots.

I've never liked Zero RB. That strategy will usually get you RBs in timeshares and handcuffs that are waiting on injuries to be relevant. I was basically doing Zero WR method before it was a thing and it always served me well. I'd usually go RB/RB the first two rounds then when everyone is scrambling for RB leftovers I start grabbing WRs starting with target hogs and #2s in offenses with high passing volume.
You never know how the draft gonna go though so best to let the draft come to you instead of trying to stick to one method.

Interested to hear why you left CEH off this list

Their affinity with Darrell Williams
And now Jerick Mcckinnon is drawing rave reviews from Reid and Mahomes
With Mahomes throwing nearly 600 times a season and accounting for a bulk of the scores, a CEH with a ~60% share of the backfield touches really needs to be efficient with his touches. Falling into the EZ 8-10 times would do wonders.
Not that he cannot do it, his path is just not as clear as some of the other RBs

Because he underperformed last year and finished as RB22 after everybody on this board had him as a top 5-10 pick even saying he should go before Kamara
I think he’ll do better this year and can be a solid rb2 but this whole board needs to take off the purple and gold glasses when it comes to Clyde

Not a purple and gold thing for me. No1 offense in the league and Andy Reid's history with no1 RBs prior to the last couple seasons is a bigger deal for me.

Probably the worst year in recent memory to do zero RB. The RBs take an absolute cliff dive after R4-ish

That’s the point. Grab safe picks early at the onesies positions and get elite WRs. Then churn the waiver wire for RBs. It happens every year.
You can also do this with a Hyper Fragile RB approach, especially in PPR. Grab an elite RB early then don’t draft another until the seventh or eighth round.

I’d throw Najee Harris in there just based off volume, though certainly after the guys you mentioned
