Gruden says TE Jordan Reed went to Charlotte to see a specialist about his toe injury, no timetable for return yet.

Jordan Reed is pretty much completely removed from my "board" every year. He is an incredible talent, but he has to be probably the most injury prone player in the league. It's practically a guarantee that he will miss time.
Edit: he's probably going to play all 16 games this year just because I put this down.

I just don't frick with toe injuries

I would never pick Reed, especially at his ADP. If he was going in the 8th round or something I guess I would take the chance. But a TE going in the top 4 rounds, I just wouldn't want to deal with it every week.

Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi will not practice today. He's out with a confirmed concussion.

Coach Sean McVay raved about Todd Gurley as a pass catcher and expressed a desire to get him more opportunities there.
Gurley has been lining up out wide at times and hauling in sideline catches over defensive backs, something the old Jeff Fisher regime never could have imagined doing with the young back. With Lance Dunbar (knee) out, Gurley has been getting more reps to showcase his hands, and McVay admitted "we're continuing to find out" Gurley can actually be an asset as a receiver. Gurley was a mega fantasy bust last season but has an immensely more imaginative coaching staff around him in 2017 and remains the focal point of the offense. He has big bounce-back appeal if the line plays better and McVay gets him in position to catch 50-plus balls.
even if only a slight uptick here should help gurley's weekly floor

Sterling Shepard was looked at on sideline. He's in serious pain. Taken off on cart. Apparently in tears. Not good.

Chargers second round guard Forrest Lamp, considered by some the best guard in the draft is now out for the year. He was considered a huge upgrade for Melvin Gordon

Ryan Tannehill walked "gingerly" to the sideline with a left leg injury, the same leg he suffered a partial ACL tear in last season.

Tannehill's left knee "buckled," not a good sign. He said he felt great heading into the season, but with this injury it only takes on play
