Me too. This sounds like a rookie league where everyone is clueless. There is nothing bad about that deal whatsoever. Marshall's numbers are good, if he had hit the end zone once or twice more, you wouldn't be crying. It's also week 6, meaning there is at least half as season to go.

Get a clue dude.

Yeah I don't know shite about the NFL. I'll keep updating this thread throughout the season. MJD is going to outscore Marshall by a ton barring serious injury.

it doesn't matter if he does or doesn't...right now, they aren't that far off...and it's about the needs of the teams, too

I do not see how people would veto that, other than they do not want the other guy to have a stronger team.

A ton being how much, fantasy points wise?

You realize Marshall has the 13th most yards in the NFL and he's only played 4 weeks (bye week was last week)? On pace for over 1200 yards?

And MJD sits at 10th in rushing yards in the NFL through 5 weeks?

They are pretty equal as far as positions go.

Like I said, Marshall scores one more touchdown (he was actually overthrown on a TD wide open in the end zone vs MIN) and they are separated by a mere 10 fantasy points, the difference of 2 fantasy points per fantasy week.

So would you veto a Brandon Lloyd for Chris Johnson trade? I mean they both fill a need right?

No, I wouldn't veto shite. Lloyd is a top 3 receiver this year. I guess you base your vetoes off previous years, obviously.

But but but...I predict Denver is gonna run every play when Knowshon gets healthy and Vince Young passed so good against Dallas, so they will be airing it out!

Veto!!!!

that is an awful comparison.

brandon marshall might be the most gifted WR in the NFL. he can break out 20 catches in a game.

MJD is injured this year and they are stacking the box against him.

both players are #1s for a fantasy lineup normally.

people sometimes have to take risks to secure a position. in those peoples case, they might have needed said player to fill a position.
the guys in your league are just being pussies because MJD is the "sexy" player.
its not even a PPR league, which he is more valuable for.
if you were involved in the trade, would there be a problem? probably not

Dude, names don't get you wins, points do. You have to be able to meet a roster to get those points.

Marshall is averaging 10.425 in my non-ppr league
MJD is averaging 10.4...

How in the FRICK is that not fair????

It's the same damn scenario with BL and Chris Johnson. I want to know if you guys would let that go through if it was in your league.

not really, Marshall has the name and history, Lloyd's history is terrible. Fear of regression should be a concern of any trade receiver.

Marshall has done it for years and with different QB's....can you say that about Lloyd?

MJD has been a top back for years, but he has started to deteriorate, missing preseason with a knee injury, and bad games since, I can see where an MJD owner, who happen to have able body fill in's, would want to trade him to strengthen his WR corp

Fact is, if the trade goes through this time around, I won't complain. If they propose it again, I'll just continue to veto it.

Brandon Lloyd avg 15.4
CJ avg 16.46

pretty freaking fair.

If I my worst starting WR is getting 7 ppg and and I have a non-starting RB getting 11 ppg that trade benefits me by alot and it benefits him a little.

Scoring the most you can IS THE WHOLE FRICKING POINT OF FANTASY FOOTBALL.

if a trade helps two teams do this then in no circumstances should it be veto'd

I'm in a 10 team league where we only start 2 RB's
(get big bonus for 100 yards)
My RB's are: Gore/Foster/Benson/Dmac/Charles/Hillis

My WR's are: Jennings/MSW/Floyd/S.Moss

non-PPR and RB's score almost twice as much as WR's

I would GLADLY trade a RB, who scores more for a WR who scores less respectively, since I leave tons of points on the Bench(first 4 weeks), and get jack shite from my Wides

If the players are remotely close in scoring (not perception) then how can it be veto'd. BL and CJ are averaging almost the same fricking points. If I had the opinion that BL would blow up and CJ would melt down and you veto'd that trade, then at the end of the season BL actually did outscore CJ by 100 pts, I would bash your kneecaps in like a Tonya Harding bodyguard. If I'm wrong, losing is my penalty.
