shite wrecked the player pool. Im sorry, but if someone wants to hold multiple defenses and kickers then so be it. That change didnt add one ounce of fun to the league.

Weird, I totally disagree and haven't noticed any change to the player pool. I mean shite, I was able to add Jordan Howard and Jay Ajayi mid to late season. Got Adams off of waivers too.

That's on Gyno. I didn't drop Howard on my side. Ajayi and Adams were dropped in the other conference the week before they had their big games.

I think you and alum would be the only ones that would agree

K and DEF are crutches for crappy owners

I don't really think the adding of an extra flex and dropping kickers and defense was that big of a deal. I liked defense and I think I preferred one flex over two. Dropping kickers make sense.

There were more vocal owners who supported it more than those against. I would bet half did not care too much.

I have not missed the playoffs in the auction era of TDFL and have a title. Am I a crappy owner?

If we revoted on the rule, I would vote against it cause I don't care for the extra flex and I like defense.

Irrelevant to my argument. 2 positions were taken away while bench spaces were kept the same. In years past, owners were rostering multiple defenses which in turn, the player pool was deeper. I understand this is better for you because you are on players before a lot of other people. But at the end of the season, I was looking for a wb replacement and everything was gone because owners were rostering 3 qbs with their extra bench spots.

I don't like it personally. I lost my usual interest in the league pretty quickly because I never felt like I cared who I was playing and I had no real idea how well my team was actually doing throughout the week

Sounds likes you should've rostered a backup QB earlier, dj. You knew the risk and so that's on you

And you're talking about what, 2 or 3 extra defenses on rosters

Like port, I flipped guys like free agent adds like Mariota, Dion Lewis, picked up Howard, rawls, lad green and that's only on top of my head. There was tons of FA options this year. Again that's on you

You probably don't remember that we cut down on roster sizes, too. We had 16, we now have 15. Not a big deal, but you seem to be in the minority on this one m8.

Idk, did you use the D and K as a crux during your past successes?

I wasn't calling DJ a crappy owner

Yeah, he's been one of the better owners in TDFL over the years.

Thats a good 24-28 players that were in the pool. Half the players you just named, I picked up off waivers. I picked Davante up off waivers also. Im talking specifically qb.

Hmm I didn't notice but I'm a 1 QB kinda guy unless I'm planning ahead for a bye week

I will say I would add an extra QB if I noticed another team was bad there to block em down the line

Anyway let's take this to the league thread

I'd be 8-4 or 9-3 and #2 instead of 6-7 and miss the playoffs in one league.

It used to be 7 offensive positions (QB + flex) plus 7 bench.

Now, it is 8 offensive positions plus 7 bench. I like 7 and 7 more than 8 and 7. The player pool was very weak this year because of those extra 12 rostered guys.

I love the extra flex.

The teams in the playoffs are all tossing and turning on who that Flex 2 start is going to go to.

Rather have the determine an outcome than a team defense have an outlier week.

Player pool has been deep all year.

I disagree...I didn't notice any major difference. We are in a league where just about every owner is good. Anyone worth owning is going to be a roster. We are free to disagree, there's obviously no right or wrong answer, I just completely disagree with you. I would be willing to bet that I have owned some of the best defenses during our TDFL run. I just liked the league much better with no defenses or kickers.

I think the player pool in general was weak this year, so probably not a great year to start with the extra flex.

The thing I did like about it was, I kind of used the spot for a more risky play that could pay off. A guy you wouldn't normally have room to start or would want to start, but at that spot you like the upside enough to roll the dice....if that makes any sense.

In TDFL, I've cycled through and started the following FAs at some point: Kaep, Mariotta, Devonte Adams, Tahj Boyd, Malcolm Mitchell, Antontio Gates, Ty Montgomery, Dennis Pitta, Starks.

That's a helluva lot of FA starts, and just what i can remember off the top of my head.

Some people are just apathetic towards fantasy. And I wouldn't even say they're at fault. They just want to draft, set a lineup and play. It's all they know or care to do
