I placed a bid on damn near everyone. Once it got to the point where i didnt wanna pay that price, i backed out. Got some good players doing it that way, and at decent prices.
Wish I would have known I could have gotten Cam for $31 or Eli for $16. I would have liked my team a lot more with that extra $48 saved from not drafting Brady to spend.

for instance id rather pay $64 or whatever i did for Rice than say the $47 DMac went for.
Even if i had Rice around a $55 projection

Yea you need to have a budget, but it has to be very flexible. You almost need several budgets.
yea..completely agree..my budget was $25 for a QB, and $70 for my 2 RBs.
Once I saw how much money was being spent on the first tier RBs, WRs, and Graham/Gronk..I adjusted my calculations in my spreadsheet to land an elite QB.. knowing I would get WR and RB value later.
My main comment on using the budget as a bible means you have to form some kind of budget and stick to it, and change it as the draft goes. Don't think you can have success just winging every bid and not keeping track of what you have left to spend.

Makes a lot of sense. I kept going with Stafford, but stopped because the bidding was going to high. Should have bit the bullet and kept going.
Now I have to pray Cutler has a big season like I think he will or Fitzmagic to bring the magic back before he signed his fat contract.
Note: I'm looking for a quarterback if anyone is interested in some wheeling & dealing.

Yeah, I felt the same way as you. I meant to click on McCoy for $52, but did not do it in time for whatever reason. Sometimes you just cannot pass up a bargain like that.

I still can't believe what Eli and Pettigrew went for... 2 best values in the draft
-If TRich doesn't flop, I like Earl's team the best.
Bubbz, I'm on a phone and having a hard time navigating RT. Will look at your team sometime soon.

Its a paradox though Lou. Because if you would have bid they would have gone higher than 31 or 16, could have just been a couple bucks could have been another 10-20.

This is gay....rt is not allowing me to add UFA adds and drops until the season starts.Looking into it.

Schaub went for $15. He has nice upside, but Eli only going for $16 is insane.

Is this the 1st season that TDFL is using RT?

So you first time auctioners..what's your opinion on the auction, and do you prefer it over snake now?

Not really. $16 could be too much. Eli is nothing special. Not sure how he got put on a pedestal all of a sudden. Super Bowl? 1 season out of 7 as a starter inside the top 10 fantasy QBs?
Schaub went for $4 in my draft last night

100x more fun than a snake draft. People can show up to a snake draft with a cheat sheet from May and still do decent. I loved everyone being involved and even strategy like nominating people you don't want and watching people spend their money on them.
Still wish people would've done that more than nominating top ADP.

I nominated people I didn't want then bought them.

I tried to nominate all players I hated.
At the end, I nominated a few I wanted.

On top of strategy i think having access to every player is what makes auction the most desirable. It makes it more fun for everyone.
