I say the email thing LE was talking about

The only thing I can see being a clustefrick with that is someone just out right claiming a guy. Then you gotta check the tape, reverse the moves, etc
Posted on 9/8/16 at 11:28 pm to GynoSandberg
Yea we would have to all agree to not pick someone up during a certain time frame

Need to understand exactly how it would work. Does it take the place of the waiver wire all together or just for protected free agents? When do we award the claims on the restricted free agents? Right now, they are free to add 48 hours after they have been dropped. When do you announce that they were claimed or not claimed? Would sucks if the 48 hour time period passed, someone adds a previously restricted free agent, only for the guy getting the emails to come back and say someone else claimed the player already.

Yea, would just need to reverse moves. I just like seeing everything on 1 in both leagues on rt. Auction/Trades/Transactions and etc

We could just restrict those guys that are dropped on waivers and only make the eligible for the next week's FAAB.
Say say Staffrod is dropped on a Thur AM, he would be processed the next Tuesday or whenever

I think that's the best idea. Any restricted free agents can't be picked up until the next waiver period

That's probably the best solution tbh.

is their a way to set the scoreboard based off conferences?
match ups are tiger playing droppings. shits gonna be hard to figure out where you stand each week.

I wouldn't like that rule at all. We want to be able to use those players for Sunday games. It could take a bunch of players out the pool which isn't good. We wouldn't do that normally because it doesn't make sense, so we shouldn't do it now.

The current system is shitty, but it is only like 10-20 guys per week affected by it. I definitely don't want some manual system where we are emailing commishes about this and constantly correcting everything. Too many errors can be made that way.

I like my sleep. I'll be pissed the first time an owner comes in from a Saturday night out and drops someone I want after 2AM. So two days later I have to set my alarm for 1:50am to make sure I can grab him when he comes off protected free agency?
Edit: Or for just the people that don't work in front of a computer every day - Would they be at a disadvantage all season long on players dropped during regular working hours?

What errors could you foresee?
Everything is time stamped and you're talking maybe 1-3 players a week that will even warrant bids, if that some weeks.

I don't know how to fix that part, but you should be able to look at it and see that the top half are from tiger and the bottom half are from droppings.

That's not the issue, though. That's how ESPN and Yahoo works, too.
The issue at hand is the process in which the guys coming off waivers are claimed; there either has to be a rolling waiver or FAAB for fairness purposes. Guys who aren't claimed can be subjected to the "who clicks fastest" process
