The best team usually wins my H2H leagues anyway
In the competitive league I'm in last season I finished with the most points scored in the league, but was 6-7 and missed the playoffs. Total shite luck.
I know that's a less than likely occurrence, but it sucked dick.

really? I'd say the best team wins about 40% of the time in my h2h leagues.
Well I can't remember past last year.
But I won 2 leagues last year while also having the highest points in both

I had the most points last year by about 60 points and had to sneak in the playoffs.

See, I like this.
This seems like a case of bitter people with shitty luck looking to change the system

I just think it would be an interesting way to do things. If it sucks balls because it makes watching the games less interesting, then it's not like the league couldn't change back.

You must be the guy that always lucks into the playoffs by having the least amount of points against while being in the bottom third of the league in scoring.
I hate those fgts.

2 years in a row in my league I have had top points. One year I snuck in playoffs by skin of my teeth and last year i didn't even make it.

I started 0-3-2 in a league last year due to playing the guy scoring the most the first 5 weeks and finished 6-6-2 to miss the playoffs.
My thoughts? Draft better.
ETA: I had the 2nd highest scoring team in the league last year.

Im sure I have done that at some point. That's what makes fantasy fun to me

I did it one year too, actually. I laughed.

LOL no, it's about us as a league being tired of the same old stuff. Playing against the entire league isn't appealing to you, Big Chime??

Ive had the luck before. Sneak in playoffs with the worse point totals and then win the league.

The more I think about it, the more I don't like it.
Now Im just talking here, dont freak out
PROS:
1. "best teams win"
2. more teams = more money
CONS:
1. Takes out the "anything can happen" scenario week to week
2. The intimacy of 1 on 1 is lost.. the shite talking, the analyzing matchups for both teams, etc. I also like keeping up with all teams in the league, and that will be hard with 24 teams
3. the fact that eventually teams could meet and have the same players
4. if you play in multiple leagues, you have a vested interest in those players. you root for them on gameday. now, with the "me vs the world" concept, some of those players are you enemy. part of the fun for me is to track those guys and hope they succeed, whereas now that takes a hit because chances are i want most of them to suck it up for this league
I know it's a fresh idea and seems fun on the surface. Just seems to me that it's trying to do too much.

Or would the playoffs be done off of averages as well?
what does this mean?

Of the teams seeded 3-6, the two high scorers move on in playoff week 1.
Then those two and seeds 1 and 2 square off playoff week 2 with the top two scored advancing to a H2H conference championship.

so it would basically be the same as the regular season
