I am very happy with the traditional roster structure. I am no rush to be starting Dexter McCluster.
Fantasy football is already random as hell. I enjoy the unpredictable nature of it.

At the end of the day, you can add another Flex and let everyone keep their D and K
but
Not in a 12 team league. Look at the rosters from last season.
The future of FF is going away from those positions. Gotta adapt; more skill position mouths are getting fed. RB time shares, WRs down the depth chart putting up numbers. Let's get these guys in an active lineup and not on a bench
*Kickers and defenses are random as hell. Look at the top guys from the past few years. There are 1 or 2 constants at each position
Finding a guy to fill another flex is more strategic than blindly chossing a K and DEF. Changes the dynamic of the draft, FAAB, trading, etc. K and DEF are irrelevant and pointless to the game; look where they are drafted and how they are treated to one's team throughout a season

this is a good way to chose conferences. figs that clog up the auction nominating k/def in the early and middle stages vs ones who dgaf about the position

This league has always been on the cutting edge of rule changes and going against the fantasy norm.
1-Killed a keeper league to create change
2-One of the 1st TD based leagues to adopt the PPR
3-PCT invented the top 6 format that most these dudes brought back to their home leagues
