You can't object to trades because they help another person. If that's the case, then I'm going to object to every trade from now on no questions asked.
You can only object to trades that are unfair, or are considered collusion.
Mccain offered me the trade. He, like me, sees upside in speights, and the potential for a 20 and 10 player. I, need another warm body at C. So I sacrificed upside for immediate help at a weak position.
Regardless of minutes, or potential minutes or whatever the frick, the players are of the same basic level. What if Brand or Dalembert gets traded? Then McCain has a steal of a player.
Objecting to this trade goes against everything that's supposed to be considered fair play in this league. There has never been a more even trade.

not to mention that hawes has at times sucked this year. while speights has had periods of dominance in the times he's been healthy.

yea we only have 1 guy who trades for the sake of trading this year
