I am happy I am competing even without Brooks and Bynum.
Even with the asswhooping McCain put on me I was nto way back of him int 3 or 4 of the cats I lost.
He only destroyed me in threes really.
ETA: frick Dorrell Wright

What assets does he have left to acquire studs or GOOD picks?
I don't need GOOD picks. Keeping my picks is going to be key. I haven't had a 1st round pick in 3 years. I'll be able to pick up a few mid round picks at least.
And yeah I am counting on some rookies to come through, but I have more than half of the top 10 rookies on my team.
Turner
Favors
Cousins
Monroe
Aminu
They are all on terrible teams. Their minutes aren't up now, but as the trade deadline approaches they will begin to get minutes. Jason Thompson or Landry is going to be traded. Iggy will probably be traded. Aminu is already starting. Favors and Monroe will start getting more minutes when their teams give up this year.
I don't think there are too many people in this league who follow or understand the NBA more than I do. Rondo, you even said that me, you, karma, jake and I think les already had a leg up on the rest of the league because of that, so give a nurga a break, will ya!
FWIW I will always admit when I've been wrong, so if my plan doesn't work out I'll do the same, but it's not as if there isn't a thought process that's involved.

Solid 3's, a steal a game, and 47% from the field. I think his rebounding is going to improve.
Not a stud now, but I think he eventually will be really good.

So what is your insight on Roy? What are you hoping to have happen with him?
Because from everything I read out of Portland the outlook does not look good at all. Which is a shame because I love how he plays.

If Portland knows anything its how to handle knee problems.

I'm hoping for the best...It didn't sound good, but he's had two really good games since he's returned. We'll see. He scored 21 in 35 minutes in his last game, which is encouraging.

This league turns into an arms race in about 4-5 weeks. I think my team is pretty good, but i still need to improve it.
yeah i mean i'm 2 steps behind you, b/c i need to improve and i haven't even made that 4:1 deal yet

that's the thing though Port. There's no amount of him being awesome now that makes his future any less bleak. From what I've read, his pain is not curable, not treatable, there are no surgical options, there is nothing they can do other than perform therapy on him to try to reduce the discomfort.
so he could go for 50 pts, 10 assts every game for the next 10 days. it wouldn't matter because we're talking about serious, bone on bone knee problems in both knees.
For you and you especially, i don't see why you made the trade given your desire to re-tool for the future. Even if you didn't want collision, you might have been able to package him for someone else not named Roy.
I think your best case scenario is that he stays on the floor long enough for you to trade him to a contender for a draft pick at the trade deadline and have them gamble that he'll help them win a championship this year. And I think you probably could've done that with Collison as well, while still riding out to see how he progresses on the Pacers. I mean, he's a 2nd year 20 year old pg with upside.
But I hope your plan works out.

I need to trade either Wade, Kobe, or Evans. I'm looking for a stud SF. Will trade straight up for a stud or do a 2 for 1 if need be.
I know Gay is playing well now, but he doesn't match up with Wade in a straight up deal for me.
