yes it is. is the implication that Port might be able to move Roy later?

Oh, not at all. I was just making sure. I'm going to try to be as competitive as possible until it gets closer to the deadline. I'd like to see what my team can do once I get everyone somewhat healthy.

Trading for a star who might have to retire early because of chronic knee problems is a pretty horrible trade. especially for a young pg like collison.

Until you take a look at what Collison has been doing in Indiana. Right now, he's the 4th option behind Granger, Hibbert, and Dunleavy. He's not going to get a lot of assists because that offense is designed to move the ball around and work the shot clock. They run almost everything through Hibbert when he's in the game. I've watched almost every Pacer game this year. I was high on Collison but in that offense he's Rodney Stuckey 2.0, without as many scoring opportunities. I am fully aware of the Roy situation, but I feel like it's a low risk, high reward move.

also, what email do i send payment. My paypal stuff is squared away now.

It's my email address on the cbs site...and I was just messing around about that. I know you're good for it. I'm not going to press for it during the holidays. Send it whenever.

he did get westbrook for good value, imho

maybe in the long run, but check the numbers of the 4 guys i got in that trade so far with me team.

Iggy- 19.8.5 in 4 games

arenas 22/4/8 5 games

randolph 17/11

chandler 10/11

i stopped looking at individual player averages a long time ago. The totals arenas and iggy are putting up kill Westbrook just by themselves. Even if Gil comes back down to earth they will

It just seems like this season you've called me out big time on several occasions. This one wasn't as bad, but there have been times where I've gone as far as agreeing with you and you still tried to push it. I really don't get it...

And I probably shouldn't have listened to any of you. I think if I kept the same team I had on draft day I'd be a playoff team.

And just for the record, I wasn't keeping Chandler or Arenas. I am aware that I gave up a lot...this isn't news, but tell the last time someone came off an elite keeper without giving up a ton? Gyno held on to Howard for over 3 years. Karma hasn't let KD or LBJ go. IMO Westbrook is pretty close to those guys, and like I said I think Turner is going to be a stud. Philly is the worst team in the league. Iggy will be gone by the deadline.

It's not as if I'm just saying frick it and trading without thinking things through.

but you're one of the most active owners in the league and you do things unconventionally. of course, i'm gonna comment on your moves. it has nothing to do with me going after you. i'd comment the same on anyone's deals.

although, it's obvious that I'd say this considering my stance on talent, i think you're a little too active overall. not saying you're a bad owner. It's owners like you that make the league fun (both to participate and to talk about).

also, it's $50 right?

IMO, you paid the premium to make sure you got who you wanted. No shame in that.

It might've been a lot, but oh well. Westbrook is going to be #1 PG in the league going forward.

hmmm. i mean, he gave up a lot in this season value. but not a lot in longterm keeper value.

he gave up pretty much all the trading chips he had left in that deal.

He has very little assets left.

When AK47 and Stuckey are your best pieces that hurts.

fair enough. i forgot the details of the deal. i think iggy and arenas are both keepers. but hey. he got westbrook. who is a total stud and will be for a long time.

Everyone except Rondo, Wall, and Melo will be on the block for me starting around the first or second week of February. Until then, I plan to be Superstar Spoiler Supreme.

In year 2 I would agree with that. I had the best team on paper and traded it away for depth, then injurries killed me. Last year, I had a terrible group of keepers and terrible picks, only 4 before the 8th round, and I ended up and 3rd and almost made the finals. This year I decided from the get go that I would try and build for next year. Might not look pretty now, but I've got like 5 rookies on my team, 4 of the top 6 picks, and I'm planning for at least two to develope into keepers. Still have a long way to go.

I think he would have been better off moving his borderline guys for picks than a superstud.

But this is where you and I dont see eye to slanty eye.

one advantage port has is being able to get superstuds while still being able to accrue draft picks. something i've never had the luxury of doing.

I wasnt hating, just saying I think i got a pretty good deal as well. I loved Westbrook, but he isnt the first top 10 player Ive traded.

If the deal is there, I need to take it. This league turns into an arms race in about 4-5 weeks. I think my team is pretty good, but i still need to improve it. something is missing, i just cant pinpoint it at this point.

There's still a long way to go. I have a few guys that I could get picks for when the deadline approaches.

FWIW Aminu is going to be a valuable player as the season goes on. His minutes are increasing and he's starting to produce for a really bad team.

He has 1 stud...Westbrook.

What assets does he have left to acquire studs or GOOD picks?

He really needs the rooks to come through IMO.

Stuckey is averaging 19.6 points over his last five games. He is averaging just four assists, which isn't great for a point point guard. However, he is usually good for around five dimes and 16-17 points per game. He remains a strong play in any league, but is an especially strong start now.

AK 47 with 15 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, 1 st, and 3 blks last night...Just Saying!!

I was looking at him, but was trying to figure out what he contributes in besides just points.

Yeah. I have to say that I'm really happy that I got off the Cousins train. I know he has longterm talent, but he's a mercurial personality and talent. And the longer this Bynum saga rolls on with Phil, the more I'm happy to have Odom who's producing pretty much at this season's Cousins upside right now.

btw, have you looked anymore at what Gordon's doing now? his productivity has increased since we last talked.

24 pts, 5 assists, 1.2 steals, 3 rebs, 1.2 threes, and good percentages on the season.
