Marc Gasol (knee) has a Grade 2 MCL sprain of the left knee that does not require surgery and he is out indefinitely.

While no timetable has been set for Gasol's recovery, MCL sprains of this variety generally take 6-8 weeks to heal. There was initial concern that the injury was a complete tear, in which case he would undergo surgery and recovery would take significantly longer.
silver lining I guess

Iguodala's injury could be serious, as he heard it pop. Harrison Barnes will likely start and looks like a smart pickup in all fantasy leagues right now
at least I'm smart

logic says start david west and vucevic but I'm struggling with this decision. I HAVE to make the right call here. the heat shut vucevic down last game and indy vs philly could be a blow out and have west sitting early. while jj hickson has been averaging 20 pts a game since getting a starting allocation of minutes and terrance jones has been coming on strong.

I need to go 1-3

I can't bring it in my heart to bench vucevic but I put in hickson for west.

Last year Vucevic had 2 of his best games of the year against the Heat.

even if he didn't I can't reasonably start terrance jones over him. if I lose because of that i'm ok with it

Jones looks like he was custom-made for the Rockets at the power forward position, to the extent that the position should no longer be considered a position of need for them. He has been playing at an early round level over the past two weeks, and it's not out of the question for him to keep it up. Congratulations if you took the plunge.

well I cost myself 25 pts by starting hickson over west. all but guaranteed myself 0-4.

without kobe and gasol this week I don't see a way I don't start off 0-5. my season is done before it even begins
