Up first we have Jay Ajayi. Affectionately nicknamed "Jay Train" we'll see this guy roughing some people up in the city of brotherly love with the hottest team in the NFC. Blount is still considered the starter but its hard to think the Eagles gave up a 4th rounder to watch the Boise State RB ride the bench. Where do you rank Jay Train for the rest of 2017?
Second we have a manaja twa of Carlos Hyde, Pierre Garcon, and Matt Brieda (it's ok because "Pierre" is French). The 69ers errrr I mean the 49ers just acquired the Italian Stallion Jimmy Garoppolo. There are no losers here, no losers except for Kirk Cousins who is watching this lovefest blue-balled. Obviously all 3 players will see an increase in production, but the schedule is not kind. Hyde is the 9th RB, Garcon the 33rd WR, and Brieda the 50th RB. How far do these 3 climb by the end of the season?
Memba the good ole NFL days where no one cared about who knelt on Sunday?Well third we have a pair of long lost WRs from that ancient time in the NFL that could make their way back to former glory. Josh Gordon is meeting with the NFL today and teams have inquired about Calvin Johnson coming out of retirement. Now all we need is TO and Chad Ochocinco and the NFL might be a little more watchable (or annoying). Which is more likely, Josh Gordon playing this season, Calvin Johnson coming out of retirement, or Brett Farve starting for Green Bay next week?
Finally we have players trying to come back from injury. CJ Fiedorowicz is targeting a Week 10 return, Danny Woodhead could come back in Week 11, Greg Olsen could return in Week 12, Carson Palmer could return Week 16, Bruce Arians said David Johnson could return "as early as Thanksgiving" but is still considered a long shot, Charles Clay is week-to-week every week, who knows about Andrew Luck, and it seems like Aaron Rodgers is officially done for the season. Disregarding my run-on sentence, who are you stashing, dropping, trading, or not giving a frick about?
