Fantasy Focus with Matthew Berry, Field Yates, and Stephania Bell. I know Berry is either loved or hated (see what I did there?) but I find him entertaining.

Their podcast is about the only thing I’ve ever “nerded out” on. I’ve been to two live shows and was in the Man’s League a couple years ago.

I do enjoy the Fantasy Focus podcast but more for entertainment purposes because I love their dynamic.

But I’m also a Fantast Footballers guy too because of how accurate they are

I fricking hate Jeff Mans.

He sounds like he has contagious obesity. Makes me feel like I need a shower listening to that jabroni.

Jeff Radcliffe is pretty laid back and usually has solid insight.

frick I had no idea that’s what he looks like. Not at all what I pictured but also absolutely how he should look.

So punchable

JJ Zachiarison’s late round podcast is great. It’s 2 episodes per week, and they are only 15 minutes each.

I also listen to Rotoworld, Establish the Run (will become a subscription pod come regular season and I will drop off), and Living the Steam is hilarious.

I listen to that guy almost everyday at work. The yelling gives me my afternoon push to finish the day.

that's how I am with Pat Mayo, especially on Cust episodes

the FFB industry is largely a bunch of bullshite, either echo chambers, dumbed-down advice for bros, recycling ADP rankings, or complicated stats that may sound fancy but may not mean anything

due to the nature of using point-based scoring, small rosters, and one game/week, it's just too volatile to truly get real advice. also, there is so much information out there (think ADP alone) the edge is very minimal

i'm using Fantasy Football Advice this year b/c he's got good Youtube content but i don't think it's anything amazing or special. i'm curious how their articles will be during the season. I also have a sub to the Atlantic so i'm going to read that during the year.

i used to listen to the Fantasy Footballers but they're much more geared towards lower-level FFB. their auction information is laughable

Its amazing the cult like status these dudes have created.

People live and die by their info.

Ton of people use their Ultimate Draft Kit app.

They're seen as like a trendy, hipsterish fantasy football crew and it worked.

yeah i think maybe 3 years ago i said i'd start doing FFB again and i looked on YT for guys and found them. they were popular then but they're insanely popular now. i don't dislike them but they don't put out as much as they used to and just have gotten old in their presentation. plus they're way too lower-level/draft focused

People put wayyyyy too much stock into accuracy rankings. Especially when you look at what goes into them and their actual hit rate, the differences aren’t much. They all seem to basically have mostly the same rankings give or take, it’s really not hard.

Mostly they hedge, they’ll keep industry standard rankings even if they’re higher on a guy. “Yeah I’ve got Godwin ranked as my 32nd WR, but I can easily see him finishing top 15.” Oh ok...

Like you said it’s really just a giant echo chamber. I prefer numbers and stats guys that understand how to apply them vs. the ones that hear a stat and blindly parrot it.

That said I don’t get how some find the fantasy footballers entertaining, constantly just cackling into the mic from unfunny repeated jokes.

Damn, my boy Jeff Mans just gave a breaking news update on his show today. The news was Terry Glenn dying in a car accident today.
