Since the decision now will not be made before Sunday, I need to pick up 2 kickers for this weekend.
The odd guys out look to be Hakeem Nicks in one league and Steve Smith in another, if I am going to ride it out. I just hate dropping healthy, good to go guys for this much of a crap shoot. Definitely a gamble. I'm going to give it one more day and decide tomorrow am.

A guy in our league drafted Gordon in the 9th round. He then dropped him.
I added him yesterday. I guess he just saw the report because I got a text that said "You fricker".

I just have a hard time believing that the union will allow stronger drug testing policies based on 2 players
If this passes I expect immediate testing and more suspensions

Funny part is I guess NFL offered to completely wipe out Gordon's suspension during appeals process if NFLPa agreed to new policy, but it wasn't to their liking and declined
Hopefully something gets done soon so we can all fap

I'm sure there are particulars to the deal that the NFL and NFLPA are disagreeing over. It is pretty crazy to me that the rumors point towards the NFL using two players as a bargaining chip to try to leverage policy that will affect the rest of the league. I hope that Gordon comes back as much as anyone else in this thread, but if the NFLPA gives up anything really significant for those two players then they are seriously failing the rest of the players in the league.

It really does come down to particulars. If the sticking point is just HGH, then the NFLPA would be smart to make the deal, because HGH testing is going to happen. But they'd have to have a grace period for implementation.
Lessening the punishments for recreational drug use seems like it would probably be pretty popular amongst the players.

if the american public doesn't give a shite about HGH I don't get why they do. Baseball would probably still be turning a blind eye if their hand wasn't forced

New NFL drug testing policy could come at any time

We could be moments away from the NFL and its players agreeing to a new policy on drug testing.
A league source tells PFT that momentum keeps building for the new policy to get done. The source added, “I’m expecting an announcement at any time.”
Publicly, the players’ union has been very cautious, noting that a deal isn’t done until it’s formally agreed upon by both sides. And it’s still possible that some unforeseen snag could come up to derail the whole thing.
But there’s encouraging progress on a new policy that would finally begin the process of using blood tests to check players for human growth hormone, in addition to changing other aspects of the policy including raising the level of marijuana that would trigger a positive test, and making the offseason use of amphetamines a violation of the substance-abuse policy, rather than the performance-enhancing substance policy.
Those two changes may still come in time to help Browns receiver Josh Gordon and Broncos receiver Wes Welker, both of whom are suspended based on the current policy, but would not be suspended under the proposed new policy.
Stay tuned.
