Look no further than Tre McBride of the Chicago Bears. Some of you probably didn't watch the snooze fest that was MNF a couple nights ago and even if you did you may not have noticed this guy on the field.
McBride is part of the 2015 WR class out of William & Mary college with an 85th percentile SPARQ score. For comparison, here are scores from other WRs from his class:
Kevin White (90th)
Cameron Meredith (88th)
J.J. Nelson (40th)
Jamison Crowder (33rd)
Stefon Diggs (29th)
Adam Humphries (18th)
Clearly we all understand SPARQ scores don't equal success in the NFL, but it certainly helps IMO.
McBride was targeted twice, but one of those targets was wiped away due to offensive holding. It was on the first drive of the game when Trubisky did a bootleg and hit McBride for a 26 yard gain where McBride made a great sideline catch. His target that counted was an 18 yard catch down the middle on the Bears 3rd offensive drive. After that he wasn't targeted again as Trub began relying on his TE's for small chunks of yardage.
In Week 4, Deonte Thompson and Jay Bellamy were on the field for 78% and 53% of snaps respectively.
In Week 5, Thompson and Bellamy were each on the field for 11% of snaps and McBride saw 70% trailing only Wheaton at 75%.
Once Trub starts to have more confidence in taking deep shots, someone will reap the benefits on that squad and as of now the 2 likely candidates are McBride and Wheaton. I lack faith in Wheaton to be the guy so I'm taking a shot on McBride.
That's all folks.

OP, good post. Looks like a decent sleeper pick for deeper leagues.

I’d assume that trubisky has worked a lot with him considering they were backups so far... might be a good idea

He did catch my eye. Good post. The waiver wire is bare for wide receivers right now in big leagues.

Update, Tanner Gentry once again promoted from practice squad. Deonte Thompson has been released. Gentry looked good in preseason so he's someone to monitor as well.
