I went with your line of thinking last week, with 2 other players not in this discussion. I won't name them because I'm completely embarrassed by my decision. I sat my stud for a player with a more favorable matchup. I lost because of it, lesson relearned, I won't make that mistake again.

Well you just don't sit your studs. Your bench player might outplay him that week, but you will hate yourself if your stud goes for 40 on your bench because you got cute and started playing match ups.

Your stud will go off more times than the bench player, even against harder defenses. That is why you never bench your studs. You didn't draft the guy in the 1st round to bench him for any reason. If you are going to sit him, you may as well trade him for a position that helps your team more
