I’m guessing gambling content is going to start taking the place of fantasy and with Berry likely having a pretty high salary, a mutual parting of ways just made sense

To his credit, I think ESPN forced him way too hard into commercializing last few years. Everything’s been downhill since DraftKings started sponsoring ESPN and he had to put the DraftKings stuff into Love/Hate. The hate was so intense on that (I hated it myself) that there was a ton of backlash and ESPN had him move it to its own little section. But from there they kept making him do other stuff, and eventually had him put Love/Hate behind a paywall along with his ESPN show. And the podcast sucked bc Field Yates is just the worst, truly unbearable company man who has zero personality and just sucked Berry’s dick all day so Berry got ridiculously comedic to where it wasn’t funny

The early fantasy focus podcast years were gold. Nate the weasel! Berry is corny and has been passed up by more analytical content but he he helped take FF to a wider audience.
