I picked up Waller and still have Howard on the bench, but I'm considering dropping him. Good idea?

If you really need to fill another spot, probably would if you have Waller. If you’re set, then Howard still can be a Top 15 TE if Bucs get him some routes.

OJ stays on the field as he’s blocking tremendously. You would like to think Arians will draw up some plays for him as the season develops.

Arians isn’t big on TEs is he? I’m also not sure Winston is consistent enough to keep 3 receiving players fantasy relevant. Godwin and Evans will get theirs, OJ is playing 3rd fiddle at best.

Being you have Waller I'd probably hold him hoping he has a big game at some point then selling high asap.

I’m thinking if the Bucs continue to use him as a fullback then some other teams around the league will be tempted to make an offer for him. I’m going to stash, but will never start him again in this offense

OJ Howard’s snaps have spiked (85% vs 61% last year), but he’s running a route on 40.9% of his plays - versus 60.1% last year.

He’s only pass- and run-blocking more often, while running 3.6 fewer routes per game.

He’s being targeted on 11% of his routes - versus 18% last year

Arians' top TE's in Arizona:
2017 - Gresham: 33 rec, 322 yds, 2 TDs
2016 - Gresham: 37 rec, 391 yds, 2 TDs
2015 - Fells: 21 rec, 311 yds, 3 TDs
2014 - Carlson: 33 rec, 350 yds, 1 TD
2013 - Housler: 39 rec, 454 yds, 1 TD

Yeah I thought it was something along those lines. His offense does not feature the TEs.

OJ's value is cratering.

Those are crappy TEs though

Heath Miller posted a 76/789/6 that would've made him a top 5 TE in PPR last season. Even his average numbers in 5 seasons with Arians wouldve fell in is a top 10 PPR TE in 2018

2012 in INDY, Allen and Fleener combined - 71/802/5

The issue lies in keeping him in to block imo. The don't trust the OL it appears.

Just hold tight for as long as possible. OJ is considered by most to be a very talented TE. Let’s hope that talent gets utilized sooner rather than later.

Gresham averaged 9.4 fantasy PPG with cincy from 2010-2014 and dropped off a cliff to 5.8 in 2015-2017 with Zona.

I'm sure some of it is lack of trust in the OL this year, but it seems like he's moved away from featuring the TE.

Howard will never pan out as a TE1 in that offense, holding onto him is doing nothing but a disservice to your team IMO

I dropped Cooper a week before he was traded to Dallas last year :(

Is Howard just choosing to stay in any block rather than run routes? If not, Arians is scripting him out of the game.

I'd test the waters at least for another week.
