I am not at all butthurt, that's why I asked if I was being biased. The dude getting AB has been known to do sketchy shite in the past, and is the reason there is no trade trust in our league.

If you have an IR spot I assume it is keepers?

Are you serious?

The team giving up Brown, Ekeler, and Brady is losing the deal. Why did you veto? Because his team got better?

And "basically" eliminated? You vetoing this trade "basically" eliminated him from the playoffs

CBS Trade Value Chart

Keenan allen - 26
Nick Chubb - 31

Antonio Brown - 44
Tom Brady - 14
Ekeler - 6

I'm no slave to these trade value charts, but you were way off vetoing that deal if the other guy isn't eliminated.

Ask each manager independently why they did the trade

Eliminated completely now that I looked again, he doesn't hold any tie breakers.

Does he know he's eliminated? I get questions every single year about how tiebreakers work, even in leagues where the settings have been the same for 5+ years.

Would you rather have AB and Riddick or Allen and Chubb?

The deal makes his team better.

I've seen it asked a few times (including by me) if it was a keeper league and he hasn't answered yet. They have IR spots on the roster, so I assume it is. If that is the case then the original veto was because it made a team going to the playoffs better.

Quit playing fantasy football if you think that deserved a veto.

First, trade deadlines don't only apply to playoff teams unless the rule says so...otherwise they apply across the whole league.

Second, the trade is pretty even or balanced towards the eliminated team, IMO.

Third, the eliminated teams may be looking for keepers or playing for a better finish for other reasons (like if your rules connect draft order with final place order).

The fact of the guy being eliminated doesn't play here...or are the eliminated teams banned from picking up WW and FA's as well? Adjusting their starting lineups? Season is still on for everyone.

Dear RJL2,

I only have one down vote, so I'm gonna have to elaborate.

You need to read this article that Matthew Berry endorsed. It begins with the obvious

quote:

I hate, hate, hate the veto. It's the coward's way out.

Matthew Berry, I hate, hate hate the veto

There is no veto in my league, so we don't have to worry about owners like you.

My guess, this is what your league members say about you . . .

From 1971, "He can't even run his own life. I'll be damned if he'll run mine."

I wouldn’t do a trade if I were out of it, but if it’s an even swap and before the deadline it’s fair game. Maybe the guy just doesn’t want the embarrassment of finishing last. More power to him for continuing to manage it.
