If he had a valid excuse for not checking all week, then I would switch, but because he "forgot" ... frick him. shite happens.

Thursday games are nothing new. He should have his lineup set on Wednesday especially if there was no mention of injury to brees. That's his own dumbass fault!

Tough shite. If Alex Smith put up 25 I doubt he'd be bitching about making the wrong start.

I'd swap them out. I mean if he had Alex smith and then Sam Bradford on his bench, yea, that's one thing.

But it's brees. No question he would have started him. And he seems to have caught it quick enough, in my opinion

If its a money league, the rest of the teams are going to raise hell if you change it. Especially the guy he is playing against. I do agree it is a slippery slope. What happens when somebody gets hurt in pregame warmups and guy didn't find out about it?

Understandable with Brees coming off a bye, but he should have been on top of it. If you let this slide and make the change, then you would have to allow others to do the same in similar situations in the future. He screwed up, set the precedent and make him responsible for his inaction.

You're rewarding him for his draft, the other half of winning is in managing your team, and he's not doing that. It's not your job to fix his mistakes.

Or let the guy he is playing decide.

All depends if it's a league of friends. I would have no problem swapping out if it were my friends. Smith/Brees is such a huge discrepancy that there's no need to split hairs

So TDFL, I leave a WR on a bye in the lineup on a Sunday. I only have one other WR on my bench and I don't email Port until 1:30, you'll have my back?

A lack of preparation on his part does not constitute an emergency on your part imo.

it all depends. Brees vs SMith is an obvious omission

LE you can't be serious defending this guy. I've been a commish for years and no way is a thursday game an excuse. Be a better manager, period.

Im not really defending him. If i were playing him i wouldnt want to beat him with Alex smith in when drew brees on his bench.

money league or not, that takes the fun out of it.

Well if you or Port made that change and not mine I'd raise some hell. But I shouldn't have to be because I knew all week I have a bye coming. No excuse for not paying attention for 3 or 6 days.

i actually forgot about the game last night. so i can see where he's coming from.

it would boil down to the opposing team OK'ing it or not, imo. IF i were playing him id want Brees in if it were an IRL league.

if it were an internet league i probably would tell whoever it is to frick off
