I don't think it should Apply to traded guys though
So you don't think an injured guy that is traded for should be allowed to be placed on the DL?

And we should still address guys starting minor and injured players on their active roster
There would no longer be any reason to start an injured player if we have unlimited DL slots.

. I would rather expand IR by maybe 1 or 2 and keep the rules as is.
So further increasing DL stocking. Hell no.

So if you add a guy on DL then he is activated then later goes back on DL, can you add them to your DL at that point?

All this does is promote the stockpiling of more players.

I think he's saying the opposite.

Why? With now unlimited DL spots, what kinds of premium talent do you think is gonna be in the FA pool that is injured.
You could make that same argument for allowing players on the DL to be picked up.
If a player in the FA pool comes off the DL, do they go through waivers, or free for all?
Also, what if a player is announced he's coming off the DL and starting, but Fantrax doesn't make the change until after that game?

You can't add the guy on the DL in the first place

see I thought you could add them but they have to be on your bench?
I feel like we are making this too difficult

If we use the fantrax option I mentioned, you wouldn't even be able to add the injured player at all. I know you are against that, but any team actively trying to compete shouldnt be wanting to add injured players to his active or reserve roster.

Not really. If we can all agree on this somehow, someway, we are simplifying the rules to a point where fantrax governs it for us.

Having the foresight to add a guy a few weeks before coming back from injury has always been one of the only ways I compete.

To specify...I never add guys that are injured for months...I add guys nearing a return.

If a player was good enough for people to be fighting over him when he came off the DL, then he would have already been rostered by someone to begin with IMO.

If someone wants to stockpile some scrub then so be it. No one of relevance would be dropped.

Not necessarily, especially if it's someone starting the season on the DL that isn't drafted. Then there is no option to pick up the player at all until they are activated.

I have always said that we over govern these leagues.

I don't because it still allows teams to tank and not field competitive teams.
There will be teams out there who trade for 10 DL guys and fill their active roster with platoon guys
I would be fine with it if we came up with some kind of lottery where the worst team isn't just guaranteed the top pick

If you couldn't tour a traded DL guy on your DL

The roster size is part of the strategy in this league. Therefor the DL shouldn't be used to increase roster space.
