ETA: They only get 3 option years (typically) but can be sent up and down multiple times in each option year.

It was merely a devils advocate post, but yes, there are active streamers who are playoff teams. People indeed compete with that strategy
And I just checked and there are 4 RPs being rostered in minor league spots total. Doesn’t seem like enough to cause a fuss but hat’s 4 more prospects everyone else can own. Matter of fact CQQ just picked up a guy I planned to readd once my DL gets settled. So I lost out at the expense of the RP.

Also, I’ve been selling off draft picks and putting prospects to the backburber bc stashing RP has been involved in my strategy.
I don’t see a reason to be upset if a team in a dynasty league chooses to devalue prospects and add RP. Don’t you want a team in the league with shite futures?

I voted in favor of that change, but I don’t blame people for voting against it. Some owners have set up their team to be able to toggle RP back and forth. I could see how that could be unfair to rip the rug out from under them with an amendment like that.

I just checked every seasons’ transactions that I’ve made, it really is shitty strategy
Literally has not turned out 1 good RP that I was able to roster for awhile
