So everyone seems alright that another team could benefit from playing a bad team who doesn’t bother to fill an active roster with daily AB and getting an easy week? Inactivity creates an imbalance in H2H leagues. Holding down starting roster spots with a player who’ll receive 250 AB is a loophole to hang onto younger players if you’re a cellar dweller. It’s dead. People seemed confused on it so i wanted to throw out some examples.

So the cellar dweller loses the offensive categories...they don't care.

- 3 strike rule/season and then you’re hit with “failure to set line up on a consistent basis”.
The penalty is there in constitution if you’re not setting your lineup, but there is no threshold right now to gauge what active is or isn’t.

- if you don’t hit the min IP, stats are retroactively reset to forfeit 6 cats. Can we retroactively start active players who weren’t put in the lineup to balance free wins?

It’s a shitty rule to implement but it’s why I volunteered to take a turn as a commish

I think the AB threshold would be a tricky "failure to set line up". If you have an MLB player who just isn't getting consistent bats in your lineup and your failing to hit the AB threshold have you failed to set your line up?

I don't like minimum ABs.

What would be the penalty for not having 150 ABs per week?

Curious to why the opposition to the GP rule? It makes the league better. You think Jace Fry should still have MiLB eligibility in 2020?

Thread tally 8/2/1. Poll tally 4/5.

Simple, easier...plus I like the roster flexibility.

because it interferes with their strategy of being able to stash RP in their MILB system and avoid the spirit of the rule which is a player is no longer a minor leaguer after they have ~1 year of service time.

I think the 50 GP is a bit low. However, I think it's silly a reliever can still have MiLB eligibility after 3 years of service. It's an abused strategy. That's second rate fantasy baseball.

That said, every one has the right to preserve their self interest.

Everyone can begin submitting their entry fee on the league site whenever they are ready. Barry, keep me updated as to when someone pays. I don't have access to it.

1. No

2. No. Don’t really see that as a problem & hard to enforce

3. Yes, I think we should. I’m not so much scared of someone starting 6 RP, but someone using 2-3 could really be abused.

4. Yes

It could be just me, but if Chad Pinder is holding 2B down for you all week or more, I’d consider that a failure.

I changed my mind fwiw. Until y’all decide to stop feeding more minor league spots and neglecting major league spots

It’s especially tough in the offseason with having to roster injured guys. For example I got Didi and morrow taking up spot that’s could be filled by steckenrider and Castillo. So I gotta wait til they’re officially DL’d to make to clear out the minor league spots

There are a few second rate things about this league so if ya really wanna get legit let’s do it, otherwise I’ll say leave it be. MLB RP are optioned all the time and some often don’t exhaust their options for years. There’s a parallel there

As someone who always talks about trying to improve the league, I'm disappointed. It doesn't have be we'll only fix this problem if we fix this other problem too. With that line of thinking, nothing would ever get done.

When we increased the MiLB spots, this just gets abused more and more.

If you want to play that game, they are also only allowed to do it 3 times.
