If anything, I think our trade deadline could be a little bit further in front of the start of playoffs.
I'd rather see teams that are in the hunt buying rather than waiting until last minute and selling if they aren't in.
That said, if trades were open, Ryan Zimmerman, your reigning NL player of the week, would be OTB.

I think the teams that are aggressive will always be aggressive, same for the passive and same for the people who don’t trade
I think a later deadline could benefit playoff teams and the non. We get help with an injury and nons could have a chance to get better in future

There should definitely be a deadline. I agree with Boo on, if anything, it should be moved up. I don't have an issue where it is now.

As a proponent of league competitiveness, you should support moving the deadline up in the season, not back. We got lucky this year as a solid 12 teams were in contention as it was.

i think the deadline is perfect where it is. It was setup to always be a few days after the non-waiver MLB trade deadline, so you could see where guys landed before pursuing them.

Going to have to disagree with you here.
It's not the same level as TDBL was, but teams still sell out to a certain degree.
I don't think the deadline should go right up to the playoffs, I know we have it where it is so that it's after the MLB deadline, but it's pretty close to playoffs starting already.
