This is classic Les. Arguing just to argue.

Just like Max didn’t pitch all of my innings. Seager alone wouldn’t fix a 17th ranked SLG. Especially when Crawford filled in pretty damn good for half the season.

I don't know. I haven't thought they have been babying him, but that stat is surprising as well as he has pitched.

The closest major league comparison for O’Neill is Khris Davis.(yep) In fact, O’Neill could be better than Davis, with more speed, better defense, and a potentially better hit tool.

Padres LHP prospect MacKenzie Gore hurled 5 2/3 scoreless innings on Thursday for Low -A Fort Wayne.

Gore allowed just two hits and two walks, and the scoreless affair lowers the 19-year-old's ERA on the season to 3.75. After struggling to start the year and dealing with some blister issues, Gore has been excellent; showing a complete arsenal of swing-and-miss pitches and above-average command. He's a few years away, but Gore has as much upside as any southpaw in baseball, and his advanced feel for pitching should see him in the bigs before the end of the decade.
