Does Ezekiel Elliott's barely decent performance bring him down at all...

...or was it a first game fluke? And does Alfred Morris' fairly decent performance on his limited touches effect how many carries he gets?

Ezekiel Elliott
20 carries for 51 yards
1 reception for 2 yards
1 rushing TD
AVG 2.5 yards

Alfred Morris
7 carries for 35 yards
AVG 5 yards

It better be a fluke the guy was my number one pick being 7th in my draft.

I doubt Alfred Morris will effect much as of yet

Do you guys agree?

It brought him down for week 1

Going forward, be patient. Especially with a rookie.

What worried me about Zeke was not how much Morris was in there, but how much Dunbar was in there. They have 3 RBs getting snaps. I think he'll get better as the season goes on. He's a rookie who missed a lot of the preseason. It may take a few weeks for him to get stud numbers. Just my opinion.

It's encouraging that he got so many touches. Cowboys aren't going to stop that after 1 game. If there's no improvement after another 2 weeks then there's something to worry about.

You should probably expect this all season with a TD here and there.

Not a Zeke supporter , but 21 touches is encouraging .

It all comes down to how Dak plays. If teams don't respect the deep or outside passes, Zeke will have an uphill battle.

It would be nice if Dak would recognize him a little more in the passing game. He did a lot of wheel routes and was open a lot. Dak just needs to look his way more. He zeroed in a lot on Witten and Beasley. We're dealing with two rookies, though. It may take time.

I think Eze-E gets hurt at some point, and Al Morris has a nice string of games.

I dont want to live in a world where Dak frickin Prescott throws the ball 45 times. What a shite game plan with that OL.

Timothy is going way out there on a limb with that one.

I drafted Morris because of this, and because he looked pretty damn good in pre season. I don't want Zeke to get injured. But if he does, I think Morris would do work.
