Ok,

So the way my draft fell to me, I ended up picking him in the 3rd round because I was drunk and picked Brees in the 2nd.

That being said, what are the real world expectations of this guy for fantasy value?

As bad as the Raiders are, as bad as the line is and as bad as the QB situation is, he is still by far their best player on offense. The change in blocking scheme plus the fact that he is in a contract year cause me to be a bit more optimistic about him than I want to be.

I have Rashad Jennings to handcuff him for when he gets injured.

Is it crazy to think that DMC/Jennings (whoever starts) gets 25 touches a game and averages 3.5 YPC or better? If he scores 8 TDs (which is a little generous) that averages out to about 11 fantasy points per game average.

The raiders are a mess. Avoid dmc at all costs.

I passed on him last night at the beginning of the 5th. I just think their O line is so horrible that it would be tough for AP to do much.

I get what you guys are saying, but here's what I'm asking:

If you have him on your roster, what is realistic to expect from him?

I understand the Raiders are a mess, but won't they still just hand him the ball 20+ times a game and see what happens? I mean is 8-10 fantasy points a week out of the question?

He's a work horse Rb on a bad team. I think he's decent 3rd round value if he stays healthy-but mainly that low because of his injury history. Has potential to put up a big number once in a while. 80-100 all purpose yards/week with an occasional TD seems likely.

So yes, he should be able to get at least 8-10 points most weeks that he plays.

Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking too, but a little lower on the expectation.

I think if I were the coach of OAK, I would just tell the OC to give him the damn ball all game and see what happens. He's their best chance to do anything on the offensive side of the ball.

Realistically, I would expect 6-8 points a game. 15 (80-100) yards and a TD would be exceeding expectations although I am sure he will have a few.

I don't see the Raiders running a lot in the second half so you basically have to hope he scores in the first half.

I expect more value than 10-15 pts/game out of my 3rd rd pick... If you picked him in the 5th then that is better.

Your only hope is if Pryor does well. If Pryor can spread things out and make plays in space and throw with accuracy it COULD help open up the running game. In that scenario he could get some dump off passes while Pryor is scrambling that would probably be more efficient for him. He was going absolutely nowhere with Flynn because OL sucks and everything was just straight ahead and bottled in.

This is my expectation and I am an owner. I don't think it makes sense to handcuff him either because with that patch work O line it probably won't matter who is back there.

I have him and hope to only use him as a bye week filler if one of my younger prospects doesn't step up and play that role for me. Like in case of emergency (and you have no other RBs) break glass and use McFad.

Realistically, 60 to 80 yards a game rushing consistently with a few random TDs. Possibly breaking one or two long runs for TDs while resting comfortably on my bench.

Bottom 3 line, qb, and wr corps in the league. Also a shitty defense that will cause them to fall behind. Huge injury history. Let me know how he's going to succeed in that environment.

In no way do I think he's going to "break out" this year. Just hoping I can get 7-12 points a week out of him when he's healthy.

My team might just suck this year and I'll have to deal.

Won the league 2 years ago, came in 6th last year, might just be my time to suck. Not the end of the world.

Brees
V Jax
T Austin / Lance Moore
Spiller
DMC
Witten
Mendenhall / someone at flex (whoever has a good matchup)
Prater
Bengals D/ST

McFadden has burned me 2 years in a row.... That being said if I could nab him as a RB3 I would jump all over it, other than that I'm staying away

Ya, that might be a poor choice of words for a guy that gets hurt every year. What i meant was he's the only guy they have so at least you dont have to worry about him losing carries.

Almost any starting NFL Rb should be able to get 8-10 fantasy points a week. Even for the Raiders. They can't pass, so at least he'll get the ball a lot.

Great example of what a team can look like when you reach for a QB and TE

I got him in the 4th everyone was passing on him. Hes my 3rd RB behind Jamal Charles and David Wilson. I sure hope Wilson pans out like I think he is and its not gonna be 50/50 with him and Brown. If it is that way I might be fricked. I think most of his points will be from reception yardage when they are down. So I think it will work out. Dont sweat it.

I agree. I was drunk and it made sense at the time.

I was "that guy" this year and I know it will burn me.

I think he can get you 13 - 15 points a game in ppr. 5 catches and a combined 100 yards rushing and receiving. The dude just has to stay healthy which he hasn't been able to do. I have Ray Rice and Brees as the guys I am leaning on, hoping D-Mac will just stay on the field. I he does he'll put up ok numbers.
