He's a game manager and he doesn't know what to do with a guy like Dez. I backed into him in my draft with an early pick and have hated it since I pulled the trigger.

Chill. He got 3 straight end zone targets. Sure they were off, but he knows who his best receiver is.

The Cowboys' schedule is what is gonna ruin Dez's value. He faces the toughest CB schedule of any WR in the league.

I see Dak trying to get him the ball, but he doesn't know how to throw him open. He's rarely ever gonna be wide open. This is the NFL and he's gonna have the best guys on him every game. Not saying he's gonna be all zeros, but I can't see him bringing reliable #1 WR value week to week.

Hes trying to win games not get Dez the ball. Dez should have been drafted as a WR2

Exactly. I had initially loomed at taking Dez at #19 in the 2nd round until I heard the stat about his CB matchup schedule.

I agree, and he actually is my WR2 because I was a 11/12 in a snake. Hated the RB's that were available so I went best available WR in the first 2. Jordy/Dez. Still hate it.

That said, I'll bet a lot of people who took RB in round 1 ended up with Dez as their WR2. The hype train was strong with him in the 'expert' community.

If you drafted him at 11/12. He was probably not drafted as a WR2. WR2 is the WR from 13-24 off the board.

I took him with pick 14 (round 2) in a 12 teamer. Had 11th pick.

Not the 14th pick, which you had. The 13th WR off the board.

They were probably a couple RBS taken and then Dez was like the 6th or 7th WR off the board

It was a pretty savvy PPR league. He was the best available WR in the board for my 2nd pick (or so I thought).

Now if he got points for PI calls he'd be money. They're gonna throw at him downfield but Dak isnt skilled enough to throw him many catchable balls. He's great at check downs and medium range throws.

Yeah. I don't expect much. Cowgirls with a lead, an awesome RB, and a good defense.

Objectively, people who have him are stuck. He'll be hard to trade for good value.

I'm hoping another WR breaks out and he can be a flex.

Don't overact after this week regardless of how it ends up. He's been targeted 5 or 6 times already, targeted multiple times in the endzone, and had a pass interference on a long target.

I know he's never the most efficient user of targets, but he'll typically be more efficient than that, and that level of targets in a half is encouraging. He should be a more than capable WR2 this year and still has that WR1 upside.

See and there's a long catch. 1 more of those and he has a fine fantasy day. He's too talented not to have a good year if this target share continues.
